Clubview Elementary is proud to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. As an IB school, Clubview’s program of inquiry focuses on the development of the whole child–not only in the classroom, but also in the world outside. This program is a comprehensive approach to teaching and learning with an international curriculum model that provides guidelines for what students should learn a teaching methodology, and assessment strategies. It offers a framework that meets children’s needs: academic, social, physical, emotional, and cultural.
Knowledge is integrated using six themes of inquiry. These themes represent broad ideas and guide students as they explore subject areas. At the heart of the PYP is a commitment to structured inquiry as a vehicle for learning. Positive attitudes and responsible actions are very important. High academic and behavior standards challenge each student to develop into a contributing member of society.
