The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) at Clubview
Elementary was established in 1963 and has been an active and important part of the school since it opened. The organization is dedicated to promoting and supporting the students, staff, and curriculum of Clubview Elementary School .
- To provide a means of ongoing and organized communication between parents and staff.
- To enrich students' educational experience by providing programs and activities for students and their families.
- To offer opportunities for parents and community members to become involved in the educations of our students.
The Executive Board of our PTA is comprised of four elected officers, the school principal, two teacher representatives, and the chairpersons of standing committees. The majority of the organization's business is conducted at the Executive Board meeting, which occurs on the Monday evening prior to our General Meetings. All parents are welcome to attend and participate in these meetings-- to ask questions or voice opinions about issues of concern. Regular meeting dates are used for a very brief organizational meeting, reporting actions taken at the Executive Board session, followed by a performance by students. Additional committees are formed as needed to organize special activities or to address new issues. PTA officers also serve on our school's management team and local school council.

Meetings are open to all interested parents, staff members, and friends of the school. Meetings give parents a chance to learn more about PTA activities and other events in the school or the school system. The primary focus of each meeting is the performance by one particular grade level each meeting.

| Parent Volunteer Program |
|
Volunteers provide a variety of assistance to teachers and students. Parents and grandparents volunteer in the school regularly in such activities as producing instructional materials, assisting in the school office or library, tutoring individuals or small groups of students, and reading to classes. Parents also help us to load and unload vehicles during the arrival and dismissal of students. |

Fall Festival |
Fall Festival is PTA's major fundraisers. It is an opportunity for families to have a fun time supporting our school. This year's Fall Festival included a silent auction and a marketplace where local artists and venders sold a variety of items. Families gathered for dinner and children spent the evening riding the many rides and playing a variety of carnival games. |
| A.R. Store |
The A.R. Store is a motivating incentive for students to read Accelerated Reader Books. PTA stocks the A.R. Store with fabulous prizes for students to come and shop with the A.R. points that they have earned by reading books and passing tests. Students look forward to cashing in on all of the new and exciting merchandise available each time the store opens for business. Parent volunteers merchandise and act as sales persons while the store is open. |
| PTA Programs |
After our PTA meeting each month, one of our grade levels presents a special performance. These programs, which involve as many students as are able to participate, give children opportunities to participate in a musical production. |
| Book Fair |
The Book Fair is a much anticipated event each year. Through this book fair, families have an opportunity to celebrate books. Students look forward to seeing the latest books right there for them to take home. |
| Field Day |
Field Day is an exciting and fun-filled day of outdoor events for the whole family. From relay races to pizza delivery races, there is something for everyone. Bring your family and enjoy our school's picnic lunches and spend your day cheering on your little darling. |
| Sara Spano Clothing Bank |
Last year, approximately 760 Muscogee County School children received clothing items from the bank. We donate clothing items, and volunteer hours to man the clothing bank each year. For more information on the clothing bank, click here. |
| Ronald McDonald House |
Throughout the year, we collect pop-tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. The goal of this program is to raise money to off-set utility bills each month. Last year, Clubview Elementary was the third largest contributor to the local pop-tab initiative in Columbus. PTA is proud to cultivate a spirit of caring and responsibility in our students through this on-going effort. Ronald McDonald house provides a home away from home for parents who's children are in critical care at the Columbus Regional Hospital. For more information on RMH,
